Daniel Aeschleman

Chief Safety Officer Daniel Aeschleman’s LADWP career started in 2010 as an Electric Distribution Mechanic in Power Transmission and Distribution, where he promoted several times, most recently as Manager of Power System Safety and Training. 

Mr. Aeschleman’s extensive knowledge of field operations and safety outreach to LADWP’s Owens Valley and Northern District employees, combined with his expertise in safety operating policy and accident investigation, are instrumental to his role managing the Office of Corporate Health and Safety, which includes Public Safety, the Office of Emergency Management, the COVID-19 Resource Office, Occupational Health Services, and Workers’ Compensation as well as the Safety Warehouse, Power System Safety, and Water System Safety in matrixed reporting relationships. Mr. Aeschleman is a credentialed Certified Utility Safety Professional and plays a key role in several Joint Labor Management safety initiatives, spearheading our Safety Culture Management, Contractor Safety, and Safety Management System efforts.
