Federal tax credits are still available on EV chargers!
Although the federal government has ended most federal tax credits on clean energy-related purchases, you can still get federal tax credits on electric vehicle chargers.
Qualifying households can get a federal tax credit up to $1,000 on the cost of purchasing and installing EV chargers placed in service on or before June 30, 2026.
Get extra savings by combining this tax credit with LADWP’s rebate of up to $1,500 on qualifying residential EV chargers!
Qualifications are different for the federal Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling Property Tax Credit 30C and LADWP’s Residential EV Charger Rebate Program. Make sure to review eligibility requirements to ensure you qualify for both incentives and consult your tax professional for more info on this tax credit.

Not sure if you can install an EV charger before June 30th? No worries! Though the federal tax credit is expiring, LADWP’s EV charger rebate won’t. That means you can still get big savings on EV chargers during 2026 and beyond.
