Monster Detective

Reimagine energy education with the Monster Detective Collective. This nicely designed lesson package featuring cute engaging monster characters comes complete with a curriculum for third grade and elementary school educators. The lessons cover LA energy supply sources, electricity uses, energy efficiency, electric safety and six different utility career paths. There are also take-home lessons for students to share with their families and digitally accessed videos and guides to assist teachers in presenting the program.

Times in Education

In partnership with the L.A. Times, daily digital editions are provided to teachers of grades 4-12 who join this free program. It includes three guides: "Water, Energy, the Environment and You," covering the L.A. Aqueduct, future water and energy sources, and LADWP careers; "Conservation Connection Water"; and "Conservation Connection Energy," which focus on water conservation and energy efficiency.
