LADWP’s Community Partnership Outreach Grants Program provides grants to non-profit organizations who play a vital role in advancing the City of Los Angeles’ sustainability goals. By leveraging deep community connections, expertise, and networks of these organizations, the program aims to maximize public engagement and participation in energy efficiency, water conservation, electrification and sustainability initiatives. Through these partnerships, LADWP empowers non-profits to drive behavior change, especially among communities that may not be effectively reached through more traditional communication strategies.
Grants Overview
Grant applications are open for submission every 12-18 months. The competitive grants are awarded to one 501(c)3 non-profit organization in each of Los Angeles’ 15 Council Districts in Phase 1 and one in the Owens Valley.
For Phase 2 grants, the grants focus on special categories, which may include Water Conservation, Water Quality, Community Solar, Electric Vehicles, Electrification, and Under-represented Program Areas.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have maintained 501(c)3 status continuously for the past two (2) years and currently located in the City of Los Angeles; this location criterion can be shown through IRS registration at the office address and/or a publicly accessible regular workspace in the City of Los Angeles. If an organization does not meet the eligibility criteria, it may consider partnering with a primary applicant who meets the criteria.
