Schedule C - Commercial, Industrial, and Governmental Customers and Temporary Construction

Total Consumption Charge per hundred cubic feet (HCF) of metered water usage (one HCF equals 748 gallons) for each tier of Commercial, Industrial, and Governmental Customers and Temporary Construction, and any other water service for which no rate schedule is specified consists of a Base Rate plus Adjustment Factors.

Add Outside City Surcharge to rates above for service outside the city limits of Los Angeles as follows:

First Tier Usage Block

The Tier 1 summer usage block is calculated by using the highest number from the following two factors multiplied by the number of days in the billing period.

1. 105% of the adjusted tier allotment created during the shortage year's average daily winter water use of fiscal years 2007, 2008, or 2009
2. 105% of the average daily winter water use of December 2014 through March 2015

The Tier 1 winter usage block is calculated by using the highest number from the following two factors multiplied by the number of days in the billing period.

1. 100% of the adjusted tier allotment created during the shortage year's average daily winter water use of fiscal years 2007, 2008, or 2009
2. 100% of the average daily winter water use of December 2014 through March 2015

New and existing customers that have not established a first tier usage block are billed at the Tier 1 rate until after April 2017, and after a first tier usage block can be calculated from the prior year's December through March consumption.

General Provision N - High Seasonal Variation in Usage

During the High Season months, Schedule C customers may be eligible for increased first tier allotments under General Provision N if their consumption for each of two consecutive High Season monthly billing periods is more than 200% of their winter average consumption (December through March) and is also at least 26 HCF above their first tier usage block. Customers that qualify are allowed 95% of their usage at the first tier rate. The Provision N application includes a self-certified water conservation audit. General Provision M - Large Irrigated Turf

Schedule C customers with 3 acres or more of turf providing water for landscape only may be eligible for increased first tier allotments under General Provision M. Customers that qualify are allowed 95% of their usage at the first tier rate. Customers must have first completed an audit of their water use in their premises in accordance with an LADWP approved manual on large turf water audits and have implemented the “Best Management Practices for Turf Irrigation” as approved by the Board of Water and Power Commissioners to the satisfaction of the LADWP.
